Card Games

Tysiacha

Tysiacha is a trick-taking game that means "1000" in Russian. The game is played with 24 cards, and the objective is to score 1000 points. While there are many variations of the game, this application is set up for three players by default, following the basic rules. If you wish to adjust the settings, you can modify them in the rule settings options. Press the Play button to start the game (Fig. 1).
Figure 1
Deal
Players cut cards, and the player with the highest rank becomes the dealer (Fig. 2). Seven cards are dealt to each player, and the remaining three cards are placed face down as the prikup.
Figure 2
Bidding
Starting with the forehand, each player bids the points they believe they can win, moving clockwise. A bid dialog appears on your turn (Fig. 3). Select either "Bid" or "Pass" and press the OK button. You can adjust the bid value using the -5 and +5 buttons or by directly inputting the bid value.
Figure 3
The player with the highest bid becomes the declarer, while the other two become defenders (Fig. 4).
Figure 4
Bidding starts at 100 and must be a multiple of 5, with each bid being higher than the previous one. Players may pass if they believe they cannot achieve the points, but the player who starts the bidding cannot pass. The points for each card are shown in Table 1.
Table 1
Rank A 10 K Q J 9
Points 11 10 4 3 2 0
If a player has both the king and queen of the same suit in their hand, they can declare a marriage when leading a trick. The points for marriages are shown in Table 2.
Table 2
Marriage Type Points
Heart Marriage 100
Diamond Marriage 80
Club Marriage 60
Spade Marriage 40
If a player wins all the cards in a trick, the score is 120. If there is no marriage in the hand, the player cannot bid more than 120. The maximum bid value is the sum of 120 and the points from marriages in the hand.
Card Exchange
The declarer reveals the three prikup cards and adds them to their hand (Fig. 5).
Figure 5
They then pass one card at a time to the defenders. If you are the declarer, select the card and press the Pass button (Fig. 6).
Figure 6
Raising the Bid
Players can raise the bid. To raise, press the Bid button at the bottom right to display the bid dialog and raise the bid (Fig. 7).
Figure 7
Rospisat'
The declarer can declare a Rospisat'. If a Rospisat' is declared, the game ends, and the defenders receive 60 points. The player who declared the Rospisat' has 120 points deducted for every three declarations. To declare a Rospisat', press the Rospisat' button at the top (Fig. 8).
Figure 8
Four Nines
If a player has four nines in their hand, they can request a redeal (Fig. 9). The declarer cannot request a redeal.
Figure 9
Trick
The declarer leads the trick, and players follow suit clockwise. Players must follow suit if possible. If a player cannot follow suit, they can play any card. The player who plays the strongest card wins the trick. The strength of the cards is shown in Table 3.
Table 3
Rank (High→Low)
A > 10 > K > Q > J > 9
On your turn, select one card from your hand and press the white frame (Fig. 10).
Figure 10
If you hold the king and queen of the same suit, you can declare a marriage (Fig. 11).
Figure 11
A marriage can be declared right after winning a trick and when leading a card. Players cannot declare a marriage when following a card or during the first trick. When a marriage is declared, the suit of the marriage becomes the trump. The trump is stronger than any non-trump card. If you cannot follow suit and have a trump card in your hand, you must play a trump card.
End of Deal
After 8 tricks, the deal ends, and a score dialog is displayed (Fig. 12). If the declarer's total points from the cards won in tricks and marriages meet or exceed the bid, the bid value is added to their score. If not, the bid value is subtracted from their score. Defenders add the points from the cards won in tricks and marriages. Points are rounded to the nearest multiple of 5.
Figure 12
Barrel
When a player's score reaches between 880 and 999 points, they enter a state called Barrel, where their score is fixed at 880 points. To win in this state, the declarer must score 120 points or more. On the Barrel, defenders cannot earn points. If the Barrel state lasts for three deals, 120 points are deducted at the end of the third deal. It is not necessary to be on the Barrel to score over 1000 points. For example, it is possible to reach 1000 points by scoring 130 points from a starting score of 870. A Rospisat' cannot be declared while on the Barrel.
Zero Score
If a player other than the declarer scores 0 points in tricks, it is considered a Zero Score. On the third Zero Score, 120 points are deducted. This is ignored on the Barrel.
Score Sheet
You can view a score sheet and trick history by pressing the buttons in the Score dialog (Fig. 13). The score sheet can be accessed by pressing the scoreboard in the upper left.

End of Game
The game ends when someone reaches 1000 points (Fig. 14). The player with the highest score is the winner.
