Old Maid

Old Maid is a card game aimed at children, but it can be enjoyed by players of all ages. The goal of the game is to form and discard pairs of cards and avoid being the player left with the unmatched Old Maid card at the end of the game. Press the Play button to start the game (Fig. 1).

Deal
Players cut cards, and the player with the highest rank becomes the dealer (Fig. 2). All cards are dealt to each player.

Play
By default, the joker becomes the Old Maid. Additionally, pairs of cards with the same rank in your hand are automatically discarded. You can replace cards in your hand by selecting the card you wish to replace and choosing the desired location for replacement (Fig. 3).

On your turn, you draw one card from the hand of the player on your right. Select one card from the hand displayed in the center of the screen and press the Draw button (Fig. 4).

Your turn is completed by pressing the Done button (Fig. 5).

Skip Button
You can skip the current game by pressing the Skip button (Fig. 6).

End of the Game
The ranking is determined by the order in which players' hands are depleted of cards (Fig. 7).

Number of Players
In this application, you can play with up to ten players (Fig. 8).

Options

Rules

Players

Sets the number of players.
(From 2 to 10)

Decks

Sets the number of decks.
(1 or 2)

Old Maid

Sets the Old Maid card.

  • Add a joker
  • Remove a queen card
  • Remove any one card

Color Rule

Sets the color combination for the cards that can be taken.

  • Any Color: A player can take cards in any color.
  • Same Color: A player can take cards of the same color.
    (i.e., red and red, black and black)
  • Zebra: A player can take cards in different colors.
    (i.e., red and black)

First Dealer

"Cut (Higher)" and "Cut (Lower)" are added.

Game

Automated Discard

If enabled, pairs of cards are automatically discarded. If disabled, you need to manually select the pairs of cards to discard.

Automated Hand Shuffling

If enabled, the drawn card is placed in a random position in your hand.

Card Selection

Sets whether to show the card counter.

Hand Size

Sets whether to show the hand size.

Skip Button

Sets whether to show the skip button.

Hand Monitor

Configures the hand monitors.

Game / Player List

Player List

Sets whether to display the player list.

Hand Monitor

Sets whether to display the hands of players.
